Being bullied is not an
inevitable part of growing up.
The
Stop
Bullying Now Web site is here to help you stop bullying in your school and
community. Here you can learn about:
We can prevent bullying when:
Teachers and administrators set consistent
limits on bullying behavior, build positive staff-student relationships, support targets
of bullying, and help bullies change.
Parents support targets of bullying
and help bullies change. Parents of bullies can build a balance of structure and emotional
support, and hold young people responsible for their actions;
and when youth find ways to bring
peaceful peer pressure to bear on bullies; tell adults what they see; and reach out to targets of
bullying.
Stan has worked as a social worker in private practice and
as a guidance counselor and consultant in high schools, middle schools, and elementary
schools, supporting young people of all ages and the adults who care for them, for the
last 30 years.
